"Do not miss this show, it is a definite must see” - Broadway World

“Parke has created a production that is immensely entertaining, genuinely moving and recreates a whimsical world with wonderful clarity” - Theatre People

The production is wonderfully cast, with not a weak link. Phillip Lowe is the beating heart of the show as Edward; headstrong, with endless charm and sympathy. He carries the show with
great panache.

Adam Rennie provides an appropriately uptight, nervous counterpoint to Lowe’s Edward, and sings gorgeously, given one of the show’s best solo numbers, Stranger.

Katrina Retallick is one of Australia’s best, and she fleshes out the part of Edward’s wife Sandra expertly, tracing her journey from sweet Southern Belle to long-serving mother and wife with great sensitivity.

Kirby Burgess brings some necessary weight to the second act as the mysterious Jenny Hill, while Aaron Tsindos and Seth Drury shine in their comedic moments as two larger-than-life characters. -
