Starring acclaimed singer and actress Christie Whelan Browne (The Rocky Horror Show; The Drowsy Chaperone (MTC); Xanadu; The Importance Of Being Earnest), Britney Spears: The Cabaret was a satirical look at the perils of fame by award-winning writer/director Dean Bryant (Sweet Charity). The musical direction of Mathew Frank saw Britney's hits transformed into cabaret songs, and seamlessly intertwined into the fabric of her life story.

Britney Spears: The Cabaret was a smash hit at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival, and played three sold-out seasons in Melbourne.

Christie Whelan Browne is currently wowing audiences as Janet in the national tour of The Rocky Horror Show. She has previously received critical praise and awards for her roles in shows including A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, Company, The Drowsy Chaperone, Xanadu: The Musical, and The Importance Of Being Earnest at Melbourne Theatre Company.

Dean Bryant and Mathew Frank have co-written several award-winning musicals, and have worked extensively together as director and musical director, including on Next To Normal at Melbourne Theatre Company and The Pirates of Penzance at The Production Company. In 2014 Dean Bryant directed an acclaimed production of Sweet Charity at Hayes Theatre Co.
